MONTEFALCO SAGRANTINO D.O.C.G.

A “wine for meditation”, made by semi-drying Sagrantino grapes on racks, it is characterized by the fine, elegant concentration of aromas and flavours that are typical of the variety.
This is the traditional version of Montefalco Sagrantino, once only vinified as a sweet wine for use in religious ceremonies, to which it probably owes its name.
In the glass, it charms one with its richly incandescent ruby hue.
It displays splendid fragrances of blueberries and blackberry jam, together with notes of bergamot, hints of liquorice and a delicate infusion of aromatic herbs. It is rich and harmonious on the palate, and full of forceful, fruity flavours. Deliciously sweet, it is held in balance by the intriguing tannins on the finish.
