Tenute Lunelli celebrates the Tre Bicchieri for Ziggurat 2022
Tenute Lunelli Ziggurat 2022 Montefalco Rosso D.O.C. is once again awarded the Tre Bicchieri by the prestigious Gambero Rosso “Guida Vini d’Italia”, one of the highest accolades for an Italian wine. The Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) represents a guarantee of highest quality and thus once again recognises the Montefalco Rosso of the Umbrian Castelbuono estate, which had already achieved this coveted goal with the 2016 and 2017 vintages.
This result underlines the excellence of a wine that is a perfect synthesis of the power of Sagrantino and the elegance of Sangiovese, fully expressing the charm of an ancient land with an authentic spirit, like this corner of Umbria.
Elements that also inspired Maestro Arnaldo Pomodoro when he designed the Carapace, a sculpture-cellar in which all the Umbrian wines of Tenute Lunelli are born.
From the attention towards the vineyard to the work in the cellar and the ageing in bottle, each step of Ziggurat’s creation represents an act of love for this land. A wine that enchants with its intense ruby colour, enveloping aromas of cherries, spices and balsamic notes, while in the mouth elegance and freshness combine with a well-integrated tannic structure, providing an unforgettable taste experience.
