Ziggurat 2023 Recognized at Legambiente's National Organic and Biodynamic Wine Competition

Tenute Lunelli has received another significant recognition at the 34th National Organic and Biodynamic Wine Tasting Competition, organized by Legambiente in collaboration with the Degree Course in Viticulture and Enology of the University of Pisa and La Nuova Ecologia.
Among approximately 300 wines from 18 Italian regions, evaluated through blind tastings by a panel of technicians, oenologists and expert wine tasters, Ziggurat 2023 Montefalco Rosso DOC by Tenute Lunelli was selected in the “Aged Red Wines” category, alongside some of the most interesting expressions of Italian organic wine.
For over thirty years, the competition has been one of the most authoritative events dedicated to wines produced through organic and biodynamic farming, recognizing wineries that successfully combine winemaking excellence, sustainability and respect for the environment. The 2026 edition saw the participation of around 300 labels from all over Italy, confirming the central role of organic viticulture in building a more resilient and climate-conscious wine sector.
An authentic expression of the Montefalco terroir, Ziggurat is crafted through environmentally responsible viticulture and embodies the elegance and character of Umbria’s winemaking heritage. Its selection in the Legambiente Competition further confirms the quality-driven and sustainability-focused approach that has always guided the work of Tenute Lunelli.
The awards ceremony took place during Festambiente, Legambiente’s national festival, at an event dedicated to celebrating the finest organic and biodynamic wines in Italy.
