Tenute Lunelli has achieved significant results in the second edition of the Decanto Untold Guide, a publication that stands out for its authentic and narrative-driven approach.
Carapace 2020, Montefalco Sagrantino D.O.C.G., and Carapace Lunga Attesa 2018, Montefalco Sagrantino D.O.C.G., were both awarded the prestigious “Tre Cavatappi” (Three Corkscrews) — a recognition celebrating the complexity of these red wines, crafted at Tenuta Castelbuono, born from a unique terroir and the result of meticulous work in both vineyard and cellar.
But it’s Carapace Lunga Attesa 2018 that stole the spotlight. Beyond its complexity, it captivated Decanto’s judges with its gastronomic finesse, earning the title of “Best Food Pairing Wine” — a tribute to its ability to elevate and be elevated by fine cuisine. It also received the award for “Most Original Wine”, a reflection of its bold character and unmistakable identity.
Crowning these achievements was the honor bestowed on Tenuta Castelbuono as “Best Winery in Umbria” — a title that not only celebrates the intrinsic quality of its wines but also affirms Tenute Lunelli’s commitment to championing the cultural and enological heritage of its land.
