Gambero Rosso's “Three Glasses” goes to Teuto 2018
Once again this year, the new editions of the most authoritative guides in our sector are beginning to communicate their results. The first major achievement for the Lunelli Estates is represented by Gambero Rosso’s “Italian Wines 2022”, the best known of the Italian guides dedicated to the world of wine, which this time has awarded its “Tre Bicchieri” rating to our Teuto 2018 Costa Toscana I.G.T..
Teuto Costa Toscana I.G.T. encapsulates in its ruby-tinged refined style the class of a region with a great vocation for producing red wines. The zone in fact has a unique characteristic: its richness in fossils, which bears witness to the presence of a sea here long ago. Made predominantly from Sangiovese, blended with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon that add a Bordeaux-like note to its markedly Mediterranean style, Teuto displays broad scents of ripe red fruits, which transform in the mouth into notes of dark fruits and spices. It charms you with its rounded, well-balanced structure on the palate, with fine, elegant tannins resulting from ageing of at least 18 months in tonneaux and large casks for the Sangiovese, and in barriques for the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
